GIVE THANKS TO HIM

Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. ~1 Thessalonians 5:18

  • God is doing a new thing: Even though it seems a long night is falling upon the Earth, Autumn brings the promise of a fresh start and renewed hope. We are encouraged to look beyond past difficulties and open up to new possibilities that God is bringing about.
  • A time of uncertainty: When we hold to His promises, we can put our confidence in God. Trust here implies reliance, security, and faith, even in uncertain times.
  • He has never forsaken those who seek Him: The testimony is from history and experience: God has consistently been faithful. Seeking God never results in abandonment; He does not turn His back on those who depend on Him.

Ecclesiastes 3:1

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.

This reminds us that with each season comes fresh mercy, hope, and God’s unfailing faithfulness.

God’s Love

Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

This verse reveals the depth of God’s love—it is unconditional and sacrificial. Christ didn’t wait for us to become worthy or righteous; He gave His life while we were still lost in sin. It shows that God’s love is not based on our merit, but on His grace.

God’s Life

John 10:10 – I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
